Cities have their charms, but I always find myself drawn to escaping it, mostly to recuperate and clear my thoughts. One of my commendable spots for such an activity is Hua Hin, a haven of serenity in a town of Thailand. Hua Hin is accessible by a 4-hour train ride from Hua Lampong Train Station in Bangkok. Boarding the third class train to Hua Hin was definitely an experience, sticking our heads out of the open-air windows and watching the landscapes roll past out windows. Walk around Hua Hin and you can find people, sometimes with a book in their hands, sitting by the shore and watching the waves, and listening to the tranquil soundtrack of the ocean.
As much as I would like to relax, laying on the beach all day gets boring after while. Therefore we opted for more exciting and adventurous activities – Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. It has amazing hiking trails and stunning beaches with jaw-dropping views of the sea and the outlying islands.
- Hua Hin beach (Find a quiet spot away from the resorts)
- Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park (Fantastic place to hike and spend the day)
– JEK BE-AK SEAFOOD
